SYNOPSIS: In an alternative timeline America, the vast majority of citizens live within a massive prison, and are permitted "vacation" for two weeks every seven years. Our protagonist, Cain, is on a mission to find and live out his romantic fantasy with Abel, his lover from his vacation 7 years prior. Abel is near angelic, beautiful and indeterminable. Against a strange backdrop of a looming megaprison and oppressive, authoritarian landscape upheld by child cops, Cain incessantly rehearses his declaration of love. We find Cain languishing in wait at the place they originally met: Club Corrieta, an ad-hoc queer nightclub in an old cathedral. His close friend Vikki doses Cain with theta, a mysterious drug which is claimed to unify the minds of those who take it. Vikki encourages Cain to drop the search for Abel and have fun while he can. Cain struggles in the party but eventually finds Abel who rejects him. Despite this, Cain chooses to declare his love by performing the original song “Just the Sight of Him.” The weight of the situation and the effects of theta cause Cain to go insane and kill Abel with an acoustic guitar.
