SYNOPSIS: The story follows Ahmed, a refugee from Gaza now living in the United States, as he attempts to connect with his family via FaceTime. When an explosion abruptly cuts off the call, Ahmed fears for their safety and is tormented by thoughts of their fate. That night, as he struggles to sleep, he wakes up with a severe stomach illness that prevents him from resting. Desperate for answers, he embarks on a quest to heal his mind, body, and ultimately his soul. The film explores the devastating impact of war on Ahmed’s mental and physical health, emphasizing the profound connection between personal trauma and collective suffering. "The Black Hole" serves as a grand fable about the human condition, illustrating how the body can fall victim to the mind and how the enduring power of human connection heals in the face of tragedy.
